I'm fascinated, in a disgusted way, by this sort of phenomenon. It seems to be slowly becoming more and more “baby with two toy food items” or “AI asked to generate novel combo” though. Mountain Dew has been doing this sort of thing since I was in high school and they've long since gone off the rails (no, we do not need gingerbread Mtn Dew you crackheads).

The other day I saw “spiced Coke”, which, ok, that might be neat, but then saw it was raspberry spiced. Why? What's the point?
