I did write a post on being cautious about extrapolating trends, but you never know.

      • Sicily's "common destination points," as the graphic shows them, resemble destination points of the Athenians, 5th century B.C. History reports that the Athenians did not survive the attempt. Fortunately, insofar as Athens has Aristotle and the Parthenon, Europe has learned from history. Europe now has Frontex to rescue Athenians found adrift. Did Homer's Odyssey not tell the story of Frontex? Or was that the story of Charybdis? I can't recall.

        • Seriously why isn't there a serious reaction in Italy? It can't be a completely cucked country if they managed to elect Berlusconi a couple of times.

          • The cuck is always creeping on. I'm not sure Berlusconi would win today.

            • Come on, are we serious about this one? People are hard-wired to... consent. And do nothing and feel at peace even when they don't agree. They just turn their mind's eye to something less uncomfortable. I mean, talking of people as entities with a will of their own... come on Berlusconi was voted for the wrong reasons. Even the right candidates, they can vote only over the wrong reasons. That is why, as we know, even the right candidates don't have the power to govern to the advantage of the people who elected them, but have to join the behind-the-scenes powers in sacking the citizenship. The citizenship would not forgive any other behavior. It's sickening to talk of elections, or electorates, actually.

              • That is the great question, isn't it? In 2010, Jared Taylor said to John Derbyshire:

I'm stumped. Even the Yanomamo and the tribes of Irian Jaya think they are hot stuff and want their people and traditions to endure forever. Only whites—and only in the last 60 or 70 years—have been seized by some form of mass insanity that requires them to believe that their mere existence is an offense to others and that the desire to live in a white society and enjoy European culture is "hate." There are theories about how this happened, but none is adequate. The people who discovered the continents, named the elements, applied the laws of science—built the entire modern world, for heaven's sake—have been replaced by pod people. Just how an entire race can be denatured in only three generations is a great historical and psychological mystery.

              • Speaking of trends (off topic? who knows) 80-100 priests have been appointed in France per year lately. The clergy was 18.000-strong in 2002. Today their count is 11-12.000. Most of them are old. Churches close, or turn into attraction points for tourists.
